ANTIOCH — A man is recovering after being shot in the neck Thursday night in Antioch, police said.
The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Wilbur Avenue, according to Antioch police Lt. Franco Cesar.
Officers provided medical aid to the 29-year-old victim until Contra Costa County Fire Protection District personnel arrived at the scene. The man was then taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening, Cesar said.
An investigation is underway into the shooting. Police on Friday did not announce any arrests or release any suspect information.
