SAN FRANCISCO – Steph Curry will be a starter for February’s 15th’s 2026 NBA All-Star game at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, the league announced on Monday morning.
The Warriors’ superstar joins Luka Doncic, reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama in the West’s starting lineup.
It is Curry’s 12th All-Star nod and 11th start, making him one of only 17 players to earn a dozen appearances in the game with a single franchise.
That also ties him with legends such as Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan and Oakland native Bill Russell for number of appearances.
During last season’s game at Chase Center, Curry earned the event’s Kobe Bryant Most Valuable Player award.
His selection is far from a lifetime achievement award though.
Curry is averaging 27.6 points, 4.9 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game while ranking second in 3-pointers made (149) and being second in free throw percentage (93.1%).
The Warriors are currently 24-19 and have won 5 of their last 6 games.
It is yet to be seen if Curry will participate in an eighth 3-point shooting competition, a challenge he has won twice.
It is also to be determined if Curry will be joined by any of his teammates in the Los Angeles area.
Jimmy Butler is the other probable choice if a second Warrior were to make the game, although Butler has made it clear he would rather rest during that time than be a part of the festivities.
