Bad Bunny’s joyful, colorful performance at the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show – The Mercury News Today Us News


Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX’s Halftime Show delivered “a beautiful statement” — one that “wasn’t political,” but was deeply emotional, diverse and inclusive, said Jim Harrington, music critic for The Mercury News.

Performing in Santa Clara, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio — known to the world as Bad Bunny — used a mostly Spanish-language set to represent the cultures and countries of the Americas, from Argentina to Canada, including every island in the Caribbean, with special reverence for his native Puerto Rico.

“Together, we are America,” Bad Bunny declared — a message literally in hand, emblazoned on a football he held aloft during the performance.

The historic show featured guest appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
