
PITTSBURG — A motorcyclist died Thursday after colliding with a sedan in what police said was a DUI-related wreck involving another driver.
In a statement, Pittsburg police said the crash happened about 4:45 p.m. in the area of Buchanan Road and Woodborough Place. Officers arrived to find the 46-year-old Concord resident down. He died despite rescue efforts by police and medical personnel.
Authorities did not identify the man Friday.
A 37-year-old Pittsburg resident who police said was driving the sedan is suspected of being under the influence and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, police said. He remained at the scene after the crash. He was not injured.
Police said they are still investigating and did not release any information. They asked anyone who may have seen the crash to contact them at 925-252-4980.
