ANTIOCH — A 54-year-old Pittsburg man suspected of exposing himself indecently in front of a woman on Tuesday, has been arrested, and police turned to social media on Thursday to see if there are any other victims.
In a statement posted on their social media channels, Antioch police said they arrested the man on suspicion of indecent exposure and public masturbation. Police said he first drove a car past the woman several times before parking nearby, then sat on a bench next to her and exposed himself.
It all happened near a bus stop on Buchanan Road and Delta Fair Boulevard about 8 a.m. Police said the woman who reported the incident was 18 years old.
Jail records did not list the man in custody on Thursday.
Police in their statement also released a picture of the tan 2000 Toyota Avalon that they said the suspect drove. They said the man drove by the woman more than once as she walked to the bus stop and that there may have been additional witnesses or people who experienced a similar encounter but did not report it.
The man wore a light-colored baseball cap, an orange zip-up sweatshirt and blue/green plaid pajama pants when the encounter happened.
They asked anyone who saw the Toyota or person between 7:45 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday or who may have encountered the same man doing the same thing to contact Officer Kyle Smith at ksmith@antiochca.gov or 925-778-2441.
