For the third year, restaurants in Hayward are enticing food lovers with the opportunity to save money while discovering new places and revisiting old favorites.
Hayward Restaurant Month promotions will be offered through January.
The deals can provide a boost for restaurateurs during what is normally a slow month after the busy holiday season, said Paul Nguyen, chief economic development officer for the City of Hayward.
Again this year, Yelp has created a web page featuring the Hayward Restaurant Month participants. Many are offering percentage discounts this year. (Note: Most deals can’t be combined with other discounts.) Others are unveiling new menu items for the month.
Here is the opening list, with more restaurants expected to join.
DISCOUNTS AND FREEBIES
Aama’s Kitchen: Free papadum with every dine-in order.
Acqua e Farina: 10% off any order when you mention Restaurant Month.
Edgewater Pizza: 15% off everything.
El Pastorcito Taqueria: Free beverage with the purchase of two burritos, two small meals or one large meal.
Ghazni Afghan Kabobs: 15% off orders.
Golden Safari Restaurant: 10% off main meal (excluding drinks and appetizers).
Gurkha Kitchen: Buy one menu item, get the second one for half off, or BOGO mango lassi, naan or tea.
Habibi’s Birria: A new deal every day, including $2.50 Taco Tuesdays and 10% off shawarma and gyro plates on Wednesdays.
Los Dos Hermanos: On weekdays, receive 50% off super burritos and paloma cocktails.
New York Pizza: 10% off any specialty pizza.
Oh G Burger: 15% off the Hayward Burger combo.
Old City Roastery: 15% off when purchasing one pound or more of Turkish delight, nuts, seeds, chocolate or gummy candy.
Rayo’s Pizza: 50% off the new Crispy Crunchy Square Pizza, 12 inches by 8 inches.
Sourdough & Co.: 10% off any 6-inch or 8-inch specialty sandwich.
Storybook: Select one of three deals: BOGO dessert, or 10% off takeout orders or three-course $45 meal of kale Caesar salad, pizza of your choice and dessert.
Susie Q’s Pizza: Free gift with a $20 purchase, 20% off one item (excluding Godzilla-size pizza).
Tin’s Teapot Bistro: 10% off on Thursdays and Fridays when you mention Hayward Restaurant Month.
