Affordable housing funds
Sunnyvale’s Housing Division is offering $18 million in funding this year for affordable housing developments through its Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA).
Funding comes from local housing mitigation funds and below market rate housing funds. Eligible projects include the acquisition, construction, rehabilitation and/or predevelopment of affordable housing.
NOFA application materials are available on the city’s housing webpage at https://bit.ly/4a0KCfI. Eligible rental housing projects must be affordable to lower-income households. Eligible ownership housing projects must be affordable to moderate- and/or lower-income households.
Applications due: Feb. 17. Awards are tentatively scheduled to be announced in April.

Addressing homelessness
As part of Sunnyvale’s Strategic Plan to Address Homelessness, the city is hosting community outreach meetings to gather feedback. Community input will help refine the strategic plan before City Council considers it on May 19.
The meetings are set for Thursday, Feb. 12, 1:30-3 p.m., and Wednesday, Feb. 18, 6-7:30 p.m., in the Bay Conference Room at City Hall, 456 W. Olive Ave.The same information will be presented at each meeting.

Teen Wellness Fair
Teens in grades 9-12 are invited to a free wellness fair planned by high school leaders, where they can learn about wellness, volunteer and job opportunities, and other resources.
The event is set for Saturday, Feb. 7, noon-3 p.m, at Sunnyvale City Hall, 456 W Olive Ave.
