Ticket prices for the Feb. 8 Super Bowl are the second-highest ever at an average of about $8,230 each, according to reseller TickPick.

The record average purchase price of about $9,800 was set in 2024, when the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas. This year’s contest features the New England Patriots facing off against the Seattle Seahawks in Santa Clara, California.

A number of factors can impact prices. The return of the Patriots to the big game with a new quarterback after last winning in 2019 likely adds to the interest this year. The location can also make a difference. About 30% of purchasers are from California, according to TickPick. About 9% are from Massachusetts.
