
Onigilly Japanese Kitchen is holding a grand opening in Daly City this weekend, and will be giving out free food to visitors.
The first 100 guests in line on Saturday, Jan. 17, and Sunday, Jan. 18, will receive a free spam onigiri. Additionally, the shop will be offering a buy-one-get-one 50% off promotion all weekend, plus assorted raffles and giveaways, according to an announcement on Facebook. The grand opening celebration runs 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Jan. 17 and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Jan. 18.
Onigilly specializes in onigiri, or filled rice balls or triangles wrapped in seaweed, and offers an extensive array of filling options. The restaurant also serves bowls, salads and sides like chicken karaage and tempura purple yam.
The local chain also has two locations in San Francisco, plus locations in San Mateo, Milpitas, Palo Alto and Santa Clara.
