The San Francisco 49ers face the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in a wild-card round playoff game on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 1:30 p.m. PT at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The Niners will have to stop Saquon Barkley and the Eagles’ starry offensive attack with a depleted linebacker corps led by midseason free-agent addition Eric Kendricks and a struggling pass rush headlined by former Eagle Bryce Huff.
On the other side of the ball, San Francisco’s usually high-flying offense will have to recover from a physical drubbing in the regular-season finale against the Seahawks. Healthy returns for left tackle Trent Williams and wide receiver Ricky Pearsall would go a long way toward ensuring a bounce-back performance.
