Bravo breakout NeNe Leakes is reportedly making her long-awaited return to the reality network she previously sued for allegedly fostering a racist and hostile work environment.
The 58-year-old “Real Housewives of Atlanta” favorite, who departed the show in 2020, will appear on the recently announced “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip,” production sources told TMZ.
Leakes will only take part in a portion of the series set in The Big Peach, per insiders. However, they say Leakes will “have a notable presence” for that stint.
“Ultimate Road Trip” will be “celebrating 20 years of ‘The Real Housewives,’” executive producer Andy Cohen revealed at BravoCon in November.
“We will have iconic housewives taking the road trip of a lifetime to the housewives’ cities, where they will be joined by iconic housewives past and present, from the span of two decades. This is going to rock your world,” said Cohen, 57.
A representative for Leakes did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
Leakes previously starred on more than 200 episodes of “RHOA,” from 2008 to 2020, leaving ahead of the 13th season.
In spring 2022, Leakes sued Bravo and NBCUniversal in a filing also naming Cohen, for having “foster[ed] a corporate and workplace culture in which racially-insensitive and inappropriate behavior is tolerated — if not, encouraged.”
The lawsuit claimed Leakes was “forced … out of the ‘house she built,’ denying her a regular role” on the series where she’d starred for the first seven seasons. Leakes was a part-time cast member for season eight and sat out season 9, then returned to full-time status for seasons 10 through 12.
In a statement to The News at the time, Leakes’ lawyer said she’d long been “the target of system racism form co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, which was tolerated by Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen and other executives.”
