OAKLEY — A neighborhood here was in lockdown Monday afternoon as police and sheriff’s deputies searched for an armed man who may have been involved in an earlier shooting, authorities said.
In a social media posting, authorities said the suspect is White, in his mid 40s and wearing a hat and gray hooded sweatshirt.
It was not immediately known where or what time the initial confrontation happened or if anyone was injured.
The latest posting said residents were asked to avoid the areas of Gold Run Drive, Lariat Lane, Placer Drive, Prospect Court, Sutter Street, El Dorado Street, Sonora Court and Silverado Drive. People who live in those areas were told to stay inside and report anything suspicious or unusual.
No other details have been released.
