President Donald Trump says he’ll tell European leaders that the United States aims to take over Greenland, leading to new outcry from some of the U.S.’s top allies. In a text to Norway’s prime minister, Trump linked his push to acquire Greenland to a perceived Nobel Peace Prize snub, writing, “Considering your country decided to not give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped eight wars plus, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of peace.” NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports for TODAY.
