Some folks might be willing to travel hundreds of miles for the perfect fried chicken from New Orleans. For others, the stuff of fevered-snacking dreams is a Dagwood-sized Italian hoagie from Philly, or perhaps a fresh-steamed Dungeness crab with sourdough in San Francisco.
Well, take note, gastrotravelers: Tripadvisor has released its 2026 “Travelers’ Choice Awards” for best food destinations, and it’s full of suggestions about where in the U.S. to visit for an epicurean rampage. These rankings are determined by the content of millions of reviews over a 12-month period and represent less than the highest 1% of the service’s gazillion listings.
San Francisco is indeed on the list, as are no-brainers like New York and Chicago; less-likely inclusions might be Key West, Fla., and O’ahu, Hawaii. Tripadvisor also ranked international destinations, putting Bali first, followed by London and Dubai; for the full list of those check the awards page.
