OAKLAND — A man died Monday from injuries he suffered in a shooting nearly nine years ago in Oakland, police said.
The shooting happened just before 7:45 p.m. on Dec. 22, 2016, in the 10400 block of Edes Avenue, between 105th and Cary avenues, according to the Oakland Police Department.
Officers arrived to find evidence of a shooting, but no victim, police said. A short time later, a man arrived at an area hospital with at least four gunshot wounds to his upper torso.
Police said the man died Monday “from their injuries sustained from the 2016 shooting.” He has not been identified.
